Loss or theft: the loss report
What a Florida pharmacy's loss report shows: who to tell, and by when. NarcCount does not file anything for you.
If a shortage turns out to be a theft or a significant loss, record that outcome on the line, then open the count's loss report.
Who to tell in Florida
Tell your county sheriff within 24 hours, and the DEA and the Florida Board of Pharmacy within 1 business day. File DEA Form 106 online within 45 days.
What the loss report does
- Lists the lines you tick, each with its NDC and the quantity.
- Works out each due date from the day you found it. The DEA notice goes to your DEA Field Division Office, in writing.
- Links to DEA Form 106 online.
- Gives you a PDF record to print and keep.
You send them
NarcCount doesn't file or send any of these. When you have, press Mark as reported.
