Terms of Service
Last updated June 19, 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of NarcCount (the “Service”), operated from Ontario, Canada. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your pharmacy or organization.
The Service
NarcCount is a reconciliation and recordkeeping tool. It calculates expected on-hand quantities of controlled substances from the purchase, dispensing, destruction, and count records you provide, flags variances, and produces reports and reminders to support your reconciliation process.
What NarcCount does not do — your responsibilities
NarcCount assists with reconciliation; it does not replace your dispensing software, the Ontario Narcotics Monitoring System (NMS), or your professional and regulatory obligations. NMS submissions continue to be made in real time by your dispensing system. You remain solely responsible for performing your physical counts, meeting your OCP and CDSA reconciliation duties, making any required Health Canada Office of Controlled Substances loss or theft report (including the 10-day timeline), and the accuracy of the data you enter. NarcCount makes no warranty that your use of the Service will result in regulatory compliance or any particular inspection outcome, and nothing in the Service is legal or professional advice.
Accounts and acceptable use
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account.
- Invite only people authorized to access your pharmacy’s controlled-substance records.
- Do not upload patient names or use the Service unlawfully, or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to it.
Subscription, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as shown on our Pricing page. There are no setup fees and no long-term contracts; you may cancel at any time and your plan will not renew for the following period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
Your data
You retain ownership of the records you upload. We process them only to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export your data at any time.
Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NarcCount’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, an in-app or email notice. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
