Uploading purchase, dispensing & destruction data
Import your transaction records from a CSV export in seconds.
Use Upload File to import Purchase, Dispensing, or Destruction records. Choose the record type, pick your CSV, and upload. NarcCount validates each row and tells you how many were imported.
Required columns
- Purchases: Date, DIN, Quantity, Invoice (optional)
- Dispensing: Date, DIN, Quantity, Rx (optional)
- Destructions: Date, DIN, Quantity, Method (optional)
Formatting notes
- Include a header row. Column names are case-insensitive.
- Dates may be YYYY-MM-DD or “Mon DD, YYYY”.
- Quantities may be decimals (e.g. methadone 12.5).
- Unknown DINs are added to Drug Management automatically.
Where this data comes from
Most pharmacies export these reports directly from their dispensing software or wholesaler portal. Save the export as CSV, then upload it here. To upload the physical counts themselves, use the Upload Count button inside a specific count instead.
