Switching to NarcCount from another reconciliation tool

Moving from another narcotic-reconciliation tool? You don't have to start from zero — NarcCount can pick up exactly where you left off.

What to bring over

• Your most recent finalized count — this becomes the opening baseline for each drug.
• Purchases, dispensing, and destructions since that count, so the first reconciliation in NarcCount is complete.

How to import

• Export each record type from your old tool (or straight from your dispensing software and wholesaler) as CSV.
• Use the import panels — Purchases, Dispensing, and Destructions each accept a CSV of Date, DIN, and Quantity.
• Enter your latest physical count as a new count (or upload it from a spreadsheet) and finalize it — that sets the baseline going forward.

From then on

Once the baseline and back-history are in, every future count reconciles automatically: Expected = Last Count + Purchased − Dispensed − Destroyed. Keep importing CSVs, or connect your dispensing software so records flow in without manual exports.
